Classically trained since childhood, Gemma turned to bellydancing and improved in Cairo with the Masters of this art. As a professional dancer since 1995, she performed on various stages in France and abroad.

The School of Dance 1001 Nuits itself is an invitation to travel. Throughout the year, the instructors greet you for belly dancing classes and workshops, and as well as drum classes.

The dancing school of 1001 Nuits invites you to discover Egyptian dance and vibrating rhythms of the drum.
In a convivial atmosphere, the instructors of the association greet you throughout the year to do belly dancing and Egyptian percussions classes or workshops, for adults or kids, all levels, from beginners to advanced people.
Gemma, choreographer, performer and instructor since 1997, is the founder of the « 1001 Nuits Company »® an original group of seven professional dancers and four percussionists from the band « El Darbak »®, gathered round Egyptian dance and music.
Khaïna, Farah and Amina, who are professional dancers within the « 1001 Nuits Company »® since 1999 and instructors trained by Gemma, apply the same teaching rigour peculiar to the « 1001 Nuits Company »®.
Founder of the El Darbak ensemble, Djamel Mellouk was introduced to oriental rythmes and instrumental rigourness with the egyptian masters of Cairo. For seven years now, this ensemble entertains in the most prestigious venues : La Cigale, The Arab Institute, Palais des Cogres de Lyon, Palais des Congres de Montreux.
